• Craddy Pitchers Davidson were responsible for the assessment and detailed structural design for refurbishment and strengthening of roof structure at World Heritage site.
  • Craddy Pitchers Davidson were involved with the St Pancras Station refurbishment throughout the works on site.  We developed the structural design of repairs, strengthening and alterations to 19th Century Grade I listed Barlow Trainshed.
  • Craddy Pitchers Davidson prepared specialist structural engineering advice in connection with repairs and alterations to retained facade.
  • Craddy Pitchers Davidson carried out detailed structural design for modifications to the Grade I listed structure including works to provide an undercroft beneath 19th Century seven storey masonry building.
  • Craddy Pitchers Davidson have been appointed to carry out detailed structural appraisal and design repairs and strengthening works for the 19th Century Grade II listed gas holder structure.


Founded in 1977 by Stewart Craddy, under its earlier name of Craddy and Partner, the practice has been providing engineering services for over 30 years. Simon Pitchers joined Stewart in 1983, and in 1999, the name of the practice changed to Craddy Pitchers. Colin Davidson joined the practice in 2002, and when Stewart retired in 2004, Colin joined Simon as Director of the limited company. In December 2006, the name of the practice changed again to Craddy Pitchers Davidson and Pete Febery joined Simon and Colin as a Director.

The practice has grown considerably since 2002 when it moved out of Clifton into new purpose build offices in Ham Green. It currently employs over 30 people working on interesting and diverse projects for a wide variety of clients.
