  DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL 2010
This year Craddy Pitchers Davidson will be taking part in Bristol's annual Dragon Boat Festival. Raising money for the Rotary Club of Bristol Breakfast.

This is Britain's newest and brightest water sport : it caters for all ages in one crew, male and female, mixed abilities and people with disabilities. It requires no previous experience and above all it's great fun. A Dragon Boat is similar to a long canoe, which requires a crew of 17 including a drummer to participate in each race plus three reserves. The sport organisers provide all the boats, instruction, life jackets and safety systems.

On Sunday 13th June 2010 The Dragon Boat Festival will start at 10am at the Baltic Wharf, Cumberland Road, Bristol, next to the Leisure Centre, Habourmaster Office and the Cottage Inn.

Please come along and support our team, there might even be a cup of tea from David Hughes.

Director Colin, with the winners of the tallest tower competition   Inspiring Children To Aim High
Craddy Pitchers Davidson were proud to have been able to organise a fun challenge at St Katherine’s School in Pill. The school children were asked to design and build as tall a tower as they could out of no more than a newspaper and a roll of sticky tape. The winning students managed to achieve an impressive 2.58m high construction and director Colin Davidson, who was honoured to have been able to judge the competition, had the following to say, “I think it’s a fantastic chance for us to get involved with local school and perhaps encourage a future Structural Engineer.” The Craddy Pitchers Davidson team that had been tasked with setting an example were unavailable for comment.
