We can deal with most types of engineering structures and buildings including roads, pavements, car parks, retaining walls, drainage schemes, industrial buildings, vehicle test stations, intermodal terminals, warehouses, housing, blocks of flats, social housing, schools, higher educational establishments such as colleges and universities, churches, hospitals, laboratories, biological containment structures, retail premises, supermarkets, railway stations, commercial premises, offices and hotels,

We deal with the design and specification associated with new buildings, low rise and medium rise developments, refurbishments and extensions, historic buildings and important listed structures, where were are also experienced in the preparation of urgent works notices and repair notices,

We work in all structural materials such as steelwork, aluminium, cast iron, wrought iron, unreinforced brickwork, stone, cast stone, blockwork, reinforced masonry, post-tensioned masonry, precast and insitu reinforced concrete, autoclaved arereated concrete (both reinforced and unreinforced) timber - including timber frame, glass and composites.

Our activities are not limited to general design. We also undertake project management and are recognised leaders in the world of collaborative working, providing partnering facilitation and partnering workshops for our clients. We have experience with collaborative contracts such as the beCC from which the new JCTCC was developed, PPC2000, the ECC (formally known as the NEC) as well as other more traditional contracts including JCT With Contractors Design etc. We can act as Employer's Agent using this knowledge together with our recently acquired Prince 2 capability. We are familiar with whole life costing, sustainability, reductions in construction waste and efficiency improvements in line with current government thinking.

We have also developed into other markets that are related to our core business, providing forensic engineering, resolution of building disputes , expert witness services and lectures on building-related topics. We undertake calculation checking, environmental asessments including flood risk asessments, media and TV programme support and set design, pavement design including truck traces, fabrication and component drawings and architectural metalwork design and detailing.
