As responsible engineers we fully appreciate that we can play an important role in sustainable development. It has been said that the current generation of engineers are the first generation to be asked to consider sustainability in development, and the last who will be able to do anything about it. We take this very seriously. We can make a difference, be it through the development of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems as part of our drainage design, or the development of sustainable structures using processes and materials to minimise the carbon footprint of our designs. We work closely with other members of the team on numerous projects to attain BREEAM and ECOHOMES ratings that our clients desire.
